This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect:

This Policy does not cover personal information that we process on behalf of our clients as a service provider or processor. When we handle data under a client's instructions as part of delivering services, that data is governed by our agreement with that client and by the client's own privacy policy. 7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate our website, analyze traffic, and support advertising. These technologies may collect device and usage information as described in Section 3.2.

We use the following general categories:

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through any cookie banner or preference tool on our website. Disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): Where required by law, we treat a recognized opt-out preference signal — such as the Global Privacy Control — as a valid request to opt out of the sharing of personal information for the browser or device from which it is sent.

8. Advertising and "Sharing" of Personal Information

We use third-party advertising and social media platforms (such as LinkedIn and other ad networks) to promote our services. In doing so, we may allow these platforms to collect information through cookies and similar technologies, or we may provide certain identifiers to them, so that ads can be delivered and measured.

Under the CCPA, some of this activity may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising (showing you ads based on your activity across different websites), even though no money changes hands.

You have the right to opt out of this sharing. To exercise it, see Section 11 and our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism described there, or send a recognized opt-out preference signal such as GPC.

We do not knowingly share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide our services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify, or securely store it.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the context, including whether you are a client, a prospect, or a website visitor.

11. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA provides you with the following rights, subject to certain exceptions:

How to exercise your rights

You may submit a request by:

Verification. To protect your information, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a Right to Know, Delete, or Correct request. We may ask you to provide information that we can match against our records. We will not fulfill a request unless we can reasonably verify your identity.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may require you to verify your own identity directly with us.

Response timing. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days, with the possibility of a 45-day extension when reasonably necessary and permitted by law. There is no fee to submit a request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded.

12. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights similar to those above under other state privacy laws (for example, in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws). These generally include rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling. To exercise any available rights, contact us at ryan@exitengine.us. We will honor rights to the extent they apply to you.

13. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Third-Party Websites and Links

Our website and communications may contain links to third-party websites and platforms (such as LinkedIn and other social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
